Ruth Merry trained at the London College of Music and Media and graduated with a first-class honours degree in 2001. After winning an international song writing competition (Unison) in 1998, Songlink International magazine wrote: “Ruth Merry, the youngest artist on the project …won the hearts of many of the writers with her beautiful voice and a musical sensibility that is way beyond her years”.
